How do you know if you have a cyst?

Most ovarian cyst are asymptomatic, which means it has no symptoms. If it is so, it might be less than 5 cm and would gradually disappear. Depending on the age group and physical characteristics of the ovary during each stage of the life cycle does the probability of developing cysts heighten. For the premenarchal age group, meaning those which have yet to have their menstruation, the ovary should not be palpable to cysts. In the reproductive age group, the ovary is apt to develop cysts one half of the time. A cyst that has enlarged beyond 5 cm continues to fill itself with estrogen rich liquid and thickens. This would cause symptoms like lower abdominal pain, irregular menstrual interval, vaginal pain and discomfort, and regurgitation.
